What the screen shows
You choose the program by name on the touchscreen, and the screen shows you where the pads go for that one. Place them, connect the cables, press start.
While it runs the screen shows the program name, the time counting down, and the current going through each channel in microamperes. Nothing needs adjusting — the device holds the frequencies and the timing.
The device shows the placement picture. The detail behind it is in the manual, which is where a program is learned — the screen is the reminder at the horse.

- 73 equine programs are available to the device — joints and tendons, muscle and circulation, breathing, digestion, skin and the nervous system.
- For the rider
- Alongside them, programs written for the person riding — recovery after training, fascia and inflammation, breathing, sleep and fatigue, the nervous system.
It holds 21 at a time, and which 21 is the module decision.

At the show
A device you can take to a show and use. Most electrical therapy at an FEI event is restricted to an FEI-approved therapist; microcurrent is not. Under Article 1062 it is a Non-Restricted Supportive Therapy, and the person responsible for the horse may run it themselves, in his stable, at an event.

The upper limit is deliberate. Cheng's 1982 laboratory work found the effect held below 500 µA and was lost above it. The device stops at 499.
Questions people ask
Does it hurt?
No. A faint tingle at most, and often nothing at all. There is no heat, so no risk of burns. Horses generally settle into a treatment; some visibly relax.
Will he stand for it?
Most do. It is half an hour with a haynet, and there is nothing to restrain him for — the pads are adhesive and the device sits on a surcingle or a belt.
Can I use it alongside what my vet or physio is doing?
Yes. It can be used alongside other therapy, and it is safe with metal implants. It complements veterinary care and does not replace diagnosis or treatment.
Can I use it at a competition?
Yes. Microcurrent is a Non-Restricted Supportive Therapy under FEI Veterinary Regulations Article 1062, so the person responsible for the horse may run it themselves, in his stable, at an event. What the FEI rules actually say
Do I need to know where to put the pads?
The device shows the placement picture for the program you have chosen. The manual has the detail behind it.
How is this different from a magnetic rug?
They are different kinds of thing, and not really alternatives. A rug applies a magnetic field across an area, for as long as it is on. B-E-St applies a very small electrical current, at frequencies chosen for a particular tissue, through two pads placed at particular points, for a set time.
What do the pads cost?
A pack of four is €6 excluding VAT. They are reusable, and the guidance is one pack per horse.
How do I charge it?
Over USB-C. The cable is not in the box.
Is there a subscription? Does anything expire?
No. The programs are on the device and they stay there.
Is there a warranty?
2 years — the standard EU warranty.
