Hoof, Legs, Circulation & Swelling
Coffin Joint STaR
- Duration
- 30 min
When to reach for it
coffin joint discomfort, short choppy stride, hard ground
About this program
The lowest joint of the leg sits hidden inside the hoof — and takes the first shock of every step. When it is unhappy the horse tells you in stride length: short, careful, choppy, worst on hard ground.
Consider this program when:
- the stride shortens on hard going
- the horse is careful on stones and rough ground
- a veterinary-diagnosed coffin joint problem is being managed
- hard-ground seasons ask a lot of the feet
One foot per treatment, alongside the farriery that shapes how this joint loads. A properly lame horse is a vet case first.
